The first edition of Lys Noir (Black Lily) was presented in 1924 in a magnificent bottle designed by Julien Viard, the case for which was created by the famous house of Sorys. Lys Noir, like Gardenia, La Route D'Emeraude and Le Mimosa, is one of the first Isabey fragrances that laid the foundation for the prestige and fame of the brand. The contemporary Lys Noir perfume was re-launched in 2014 and then creatively re-imagined in 2017, while maintaining the brand's signature Art Deco elements. Lys Noir is a mysterious and desirable fragrance dedicated to elegant, glamorous, stylish and charming women, irresistible and able to impress anyone and everyone.
Dedicated to the "Femme du Monde" (the Woman of the World), Lys Noir is built around a luxurious and charming lily in an elegant Clair-Obscure (bright dark) style. Together with notes of black pepper and the heady, narcotic flowers of tuberose and narcissus with their slightly mysterious and spicy animalistic nature, the aroma of lily emphasizes the voluptuous aura of the fragrance. And in the perfume base, the dark, attractive power of patchouli mixes with dry woody chords of milky sandalwood and ebony wood and creates the illusion of a mysterious forbidden fruit, softly wrapped in a musky veil.
